Roommates: Kelsey lives with three Italian girls from the regions of Puglia, Calabria and Tuscany. Two roommates study Design and Foreign Languages. The other roommate has recently graduated and started working as a teacher at a local preschool.
Location: Via Gualandi is in an elegant, residential neighborhood just outside the city walls within walking distance to the university. However, Kelsey takes her bike to class. She also goes running in the nearby Giardini Margherita, Bologna's city park.

Roommates: Nic has four roommates from the Puglia and Lombardy regions. They study Cinema, Computer Science and Cultural Heritage of Italy.
Location: Many student addresses are in the 'Piazza di Porta San Donato' because it is at the end of via Zamboni, the main university street where most academic departments are located. Nic discovered a pizzeria downstairs from his apartment where an entire pizza margherita costs only € 2,50.
ERIK - BCSP Spring Semester 2010 - University of Illinois

Roommates: Erik shares the apartment with two students (Biology and Communications) and two recent graduates. They come from the Basilicata, Puglia, Sicily and Campania regions. Erik has travelled to Basilicata with his roommate and stayed with the family.
Location: Via Lame is a main road in the more modern part of the city center with lots of shops, businesses and bus stops. Eric's apartment is close to the PAM supermarket, a couple of gyms, a park, a few good cafés, about a 15 minute walk to the BCSP office, approximately a 30 minute walk to the center of via Zamboni, and a 10-15 minute walk to the train station.
ALEXANDRA - BCSP Year 2009/2010 - Mount Holyoke College

Roommates: Alexandra's roommates are from the Veneto, Le Marche and Emilia-Romagna regions. The two boys study Economics, and the girl that shares the double with Alexandra goes to med school.
Location: Alexandra loves her neighborhood, otherwise known as Santo Stefano, because of its central location and picturesque streets. At the end of the summer, the local community in via Broccaindosso hosts a street festival, including an outdoor cinema. Spaccanapoli, a favorite student pizzeria, is nearby in via San Vitale, and Alexandra also recommends the Indian restaurant downstairs from her apartment.
